Setting Up Auto-Upload (iOS)
1. Install the App
Download the Nextcloud app from the App Store. Log in with your Felicloud account at cloud.felicloud.com.
2. Open Auto-Upload Settings
Go to Settings (gear icon) → Auto-upload.
3. Enable Photo Upload
Toggle on "Auto-upload photos". Grant photo library access when prompted.
4. Enable Video Upload
Toggle on "Auto-upload videos" if you want to backup videos too.
5. Choose Destination
Tap "Upload folder" to choose where photos go (default: /Photos).
Setting Up Auto-Upload (Android)
1. Install the App
Download from Google Play. Log in with your Felicloud account at cloud.felicloud.com.
2. Open Auto-Upload
Tap the menu (☰) → Settings → Auto-upload.
3. Configure Folders
You'll see a list of folders. Tap "Camera" (or DCIM/Camera) to configure.
4. Enable Upload
In the folder settings:
- Enable "Auto-upload"
- Choose remote folder destination
- Select upload behavior (WiFi only, etc.)
Upload Options
WiFi Only
Only upload when connected to WiFi to save mobile data. Recommended unless you have unlimited data.
While Charging Only
Only upload while the phone is charging to save battery.
Subfolder Organization
Automatically organize by year, year/month, or keep flat. Example: /Photos/2024/01/photo.jpg
Delete After Upload
Automatically delete photos from phone after successful upload. Use with caution!
Uploading Existing Photos
Auto-upload only handles new photos. For existing photos:
Option 1: From Mobile App
1. Select Photos
Open Photos app, select photos you want to upload.
2. Share to Felicloud
Tap Share → "Save to Nextcloud" or "Felicloud".
3. Choose Folder
Select the destination folder and confirm upload.
Option 2: From Computer
1. Transfer to Computer
Connect your phone to computer and copy the photo folders.
2. Copy to Felicloud Folder
Move the photos to your Felicloud sync folder. They'll upload automatically.
Viewing Your Photos
Web Interface
Go to cloud.felicloud.com and click "Photos" in the sidebar. You'll see all your photos organized by date with a beautiful gallery view.
Mobile App
Tap the Photos tab to see your photos organized by date. Pinch to zoom in/out on the timeline.
Desktop
Browse your synced photo folders directly in your file manager.

Troubleshooting
Photos Not Uploading
- • Check WiFi connection (if WiFi-only enabled)
- • Verify storage quota isn't full
- • Ensure app has photo library permissions
- • Check battery saver isn't restricting the app
Upload Stuck
- • Force close and reopen the app
- • Check for large video files blocking the queue
- • Try pausing and resuming upload
Duplicate Photos
- • The app detects duplicates by filename and date
- • Edited photos may upload as new files
- • Check if multiple folders are configured
