Calendar and Contacts Sync

Sync your calendar events and contacts across all devices with Felicloud's CalDAV and CardDAV support.

Overview

Felicloud supports CalDAV (calendars) and CardDAV (contacts) standards, allowing you to sync with virtually any calendar and contacts app.

iOS Setup

Add Account

1. Open Settings

Go to Settings → Calendar (or Contacts) → Accounts → Add Account.

2. Select Other

Scroll down and tap "Other".

3. Choose CalDAV or CardDAV

Tap "Add CalDAV Account" for calendars or "Add CardDAV Account" for contacts.

4. Enter Credentials

Fill in the details:

  • Server: cloud.felicloud.com
  • Username: Your Felicloud username
  • Password: Your password or app password

5. Save

Tap "Next" and then "Save". Your calendars/contacts will sync automatically.

TipAdd both CalDAV and CardDAV accounts to sync both calendars and contacts.

Android Setup

Android doesn't have built-in CalDAV/CardDAV support. Use the DAVx⁵ app:

1. Install DAVx⁵

Download DAVx⁵ from Google Play (or F-Droid).

2. Add Account

Open DAVx⁵ → Tap "+" → Select "Login with URL and username".

3. Enter Details

Fill in:

  • Base URL: https://cloud.felicloud.com
  • Username: Your Felicloud username
  • Password: Your password or app password

4. Select What to Sync

DAVx⁵ will detect your calendars and address books. Check the ones you want to sync.

5. Configure Sync

Choose sync interval (15 min, 1 hour, etc.) and enable sync.

Good to knowAfter setup, your calendars appear in Google Calendar and contacts in your Contacts app.

macOS Setup

Calendar

1. Open Calendar App

Open Calendar → Menu: Calendar → Add Account.

2. Select Other

Choose "Other CalDAV Account" and click Continue.

3. Enter Details

Configure:

  • Account Type: Advanced
  • Username: Your Felicloud username
  • Password: Your password
  • Server: https://cloud.felicloud.com/remote.php/dav/principals/users/USERNAME/

Contacts

1. Open Contacts App

Open Contacts → Menu: Contacts → Add Account.

2. Select Other

Choose "Other Contacts Account" → CardDAV.

3. Enter Details

Same credentials as calendar, server: cloud.felicloud.com

Windows Setup

Windows Calendar and People apps don't support CalDAV/CardDAV natively. Options:

Option 1: Thunderbird

Free email client with built-in CalDAV/CardDAV support.

Option 2: eM Client

Full-featured email and calendar client with CalDAV support.

Free for personal use at emclient.com

Option 3: Outlook with Plugin

Use CalDav Synchronizer plugin for Outlook.

Creating Calendars

1. Web Interface

Go to cloud.felicloud.com → Calendar app → "New calendar" button.

2. Name and Color

Give your calendar a name and choose a color for easy identification.

3. Sync

The new calendar will automatically appear on all your synced devices.

TipCreate separate calendars for work, personal, family, etc. to organize your schedule.

Sharing Calendars

Share calendars with other Felicloud users or publicly:

1. Open Calendar Settings

In the web interface, click the ⋯ menu next to the calendar name.

2. Share

Choose sharing option:

  • Share with users: Add other Felicloud users
  • Share link: Create a public subscribe link

3. Set Permissions

Choose "Can edit" for collaborative calendars or "Read only" for viewing only.

Address Books

Create and manage address books for organizing contacts:

1. Create Address Book

Go to Contacts app in web interface → "New address book" in the sidebar.

2. Add Contacts

Click "New contact" to add contacts manually, or import from a VCF file.

3. Organize with Groups

Create groups within address books to categorize contacts (Family, Work, etc.).

Using App Passwords

For better security, especially with 2FA enabled, use app-specific passwords:

1. Generate App Password

Go to cloud.felicloud.com → Settings → Security → "Create new app password".

2. Name It

Give it a descriptive name like "iPhone Calendar" or "Android DAVx5".

3. Use App Password

Copy the generated password and use it when setting up CalDAV/CardDAV.

Good to knowApp passwords can be revoked individually without changing your main password.

Troubleshooting

Authentication Failed

  • • Check username and password are correct
  • • If using 2FA, use an app password instead
  • • Verify the server URL is correct

Events Not Syncing

  • • Check if the calendar is selected in your app settings
  • • Try manual sync (pull down on mobile)
  • • Verify internet connection

Duplicate Events

  • • Make sure you're not syncing the same calendar via multiple methods
  • • Check for duplicate account configurations
