Uploading Your First Files

Learn how to upload files to your Felicloud storage using the web interface, desktop app, or mobile app.

Upload Methods

There are several ways to upload files to Felicloud:

Uploading via Web Browser

1. Log in to Felicloud

Go to cloud.felicloud.com and sign in with your email and password.

2. Navigate to Your Destination

Browse to the folder where you want to upload your files. You can create a new folder by clicking the + New button and selecting "New folder".

3. Upload Files

You have two options:

  • Drag & Drop: Simply drag files from your computer and drop them into the browser window
  • Upload Button: Click the + New button and select "Upload file" to browse for files

4. Wait for Upload to Complete

A progress indicator will show the upload status. Don't close the browser tab until all uploads are complete.

TipYou can upload entire folders by dragging them into the browser window. The folder structure will be preserved.

Uploading via Desktop App

The desktop app provides the easiest way to keep files synchronized:

1. Locate Your Sync Folder

After installing the desktop app, a "Nextcloud" or "Felicloud" folder is created on your computer. By default, this is in your home folder:

  • Windows: C:\Users\YourName\Nextcloud
  • macOS: /Users/YourName/Nextcloud
  • Linux: /home/YourName/Nextcloud

2. Copy or Move Files

Simply copy, move, or save files to this folder. They will automatically sync to the cloud.

3. Monitor Sync Status

The app icon in your system tray shows the sync status:

  • Green checkmark: All files synced
  • Blue arrows: Sync in progress
  • Yellow/Red icon: Sync error (check the app for details)
Good to knowFiles sync both ways! Changes made on any device will automatically appear on all your other devices.

Uploading via Mobile App

1. Open the App

Launch the Nextcloud app on your iOS or Android device and make sure you're logged in.

2. Navigate and Upload

Go to the folder where you want to upload files, then tap the + button at the bottom:

  • Upload files: Browse and select files from your device
  • Upload from gallery: Select photos and videos
  • Take photo: Capture and upload directly
  • Scan document: Use your camera to scan documents

3. Enable Auto Upload (Recommended)

For automatic photo backup, go to Settings → Auto upload and enable it. Choose which folders to back up and whether to use WiFi only.

TipFor large files (over 1 GB), we recommend using the desktop app for more reliable uploads with resume capability.

Supported File Types

Felicloud supports all file types! You can upload:

  • Documents (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Images (JPG, PNG, GIF, RAW, etc.)
  • Videos (MP4, MOV, AVI, etc.)
  • Audio files (MP3, WAV, FLAC, etc.)
  • Archives (ZIP, RAR, 7z, etc.)
  • Any other file type
Good to knowSome file types like images, videos, and documents can be previewed directly in the web interface without downloading.
