WebDAV Setup Guide

Connect Felicloud to any WebDAV-compatible application

What is WebDAV?

WebDAV (Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning) is an extension of HTTP that allows you to connect Felicloud to virtually any application that supports file storage. This means you can access your files directly from file explorers, office applications, media players, and many other programs without using the Felicloud desktop app.

Connection Settings

Note: Replace USERNAME with your actual Felicloud username (usually your email address).

Platform-Specific Setup

Windows

  1. Open File Explorer and click on "This PC" in the left sidebar
  2. Click on "Computer" tab in the ribbon, then "Map network drive"
  3. Choose a drive letter (e.g., Z:)
  4. Enter the WebDAV URL in the folder field
  5. Check "Connect using different credentials" and click "Finish"
  6. Enter your Felicloud email and password when prompted

macOS

  1. Open Finder
  2. Press Command+K or Go → Connect to Server from the menu
  3. Enter the WebDAV URL
  4. Click "Connect"
  5. Choose "Registered User" and enter your credentials
  6. Your Felicloud storage will appear in Finder

Linux (GNOME/Nautilus)

  1. Open Files (Nautilus)
  2. Click "+ Other Locations" in the left sidebar
  3. In "Connect to Server" at the bottom, enter the WebDAV URL starting with davs://
  4. Click "Connect"
  5. Enter your Felicloud credentials when prompted

Mobile (iOS & Android)

Use a WebDAV-compatible app from the App Store or Google Play:

  • iOS: Documents by Readdle, FE File Explorer
  • Android: Total Commander, Solid Explorer, FX File Explorer

Then add a new WebDAV connection using the settings provided above.

Microsoft Office

Open and save documents directly to Felicloud from Word, Excel, and PowerPoint using File → Open → Add a Place → WebDAV

LibreOffice

Access Felicloud via File → Open Remote → Add WebDAV connection with your credentials

Cyberduck / Transmit

Professional file transfer clients with full WebDAV support for advanced file management

Media Players

Stream media directly from Felicloud using VLC, Kodi, or other players with WebDAV support

Troubleshooting

Connection refused or timeout

Make sure you're using HTTPS (not HTTP) and that your firewall isn't blocking port 443. Try using davs:// instead of https:// on Linux.

Authentication failed

Double-check your email and password. If you have 2FA enabled, you may need to generate an app-specific password from your Felicloud account settings.

Slow performance

WebDAV performance depends on your internet connection. For best performance, use the native Felicloud app which includes local caching and optimized sync.
